Hope for every season

As the UK population continues to age, there is an urgent and exciting opportunity for the Church to share the hope of Jesus with older people. We want to see churches grow in confidence and creativity in reaching older people with the gospel, recognising later life as a season rich in spiritual significance, deepening devotion and purposeful service.

Hope for Every Season is a four-week mentoring project for women who want to grow in confidence and practical skills for sharing Jesus with older people.

Through mentoring, encouragement and practical training, participants will develop an evangelistic talk or testimony to share in a small-group setting with older people. We’ll explore how to communicate the gospel clearly, tell our stories well and engage thoughtfully with the experiences and questions of later life. We will also learn from women with experience of creating outreach opportunities in care homes, alongside training and practical resources from Alexandra Huggins, CEO of Faith in Later Life.

You don’t need to be an experienced speaker or have spoken publicly before. You simply need a desire to make Jesus known and a willingness to learn.

Come and grow in confidence, find your voice and discover how God can use your story to bring the good news of Jesus to older people.
